County Champs 2016 Run Down... |
| The 2016 Nottinghamshire ASA County Championships came to a close last weekend and we would like to congratulate all of our swimmers who qualified and competed. Thank you to all of our officials who helped out with the running of the championships and thank you to all the parents for your support whilst we were there. Also a big thanks to the coaches and team managers who looked after everything on pool side. We had 30 Swimmers who qualified & competed at this years Championships. From this we had 23 Top 3 podium finishes in the Junior and Senior Championships, five of these being 1st place, two of which, Holly McGarva & Hannah Clay collected Senior overall Championship Trophies for the 200m Breastroke (Holly) & 50m Freestyle (Hannah).   We also had 65 Finalists and top 6/8 HDW's in the age group categories including Top 3 finishes from Dominic Bools (Inc. 5 x 1st's), Ryan Patel, Holly McGarva, Eric Anscombe, Hannah Clay and our Podium finishing Womens 17Yrs & Over relay Super Team of Hannah Clay, Katie Hall, Charlotte Lomas & Hannah Simpson, well done girls.. Also a special mention to two 10Yr olds who were competing in with the 11Yrs but in thier own age group scooped a heap of top three places, a big whoop whoop to Joseph Mulligan & Kallum Quirke. We had heaps of Pb's and our swimmers qualifying for Regional Championships is growing all the time, congrats to our new Regional Qualifiers. To finish off Dominic Bools won overall boy in the county for his age, very much well deserved and again well done Dom..
