 Record Breaking Club Champs

The first 2 sessions of club champs were held in October and produced 8  record breaking swims.

Dominic Bools taking 3 of the 13 and under records in 50 Breast, Back and Free, with the Breast record having stood for over 11 years and held by Adam Dackiw.     Eric Anscombe took the mens open 100 Breast breaking the 4 year old record of Alex Thomas,  Holly McGarva broke her own open 100 Breast title with a new PB, and Daniel Wilson took the records on 100 Free previously held since 2009 by Kyle Simpson, and 200 Fly, beating last years time by 5 seconds.

The 8 and Under age group  saw Finley O’Neill and Lucy Radford win the trophy’s  for 100 Medley and 25 fly.  Overall there were 203 Personal Best times and 73 County Qualifying Times, some amazing performances and good solid racing.

Looking forward to sessions 3 and 4 on 8th and 16 November.

  Swimathon - a fantastic success...
The first Radford Swimathon has raised the club an amazing £1,551.27 from our fantastic swimmers, and their fabulous supporters.  The money will be invested into the swimming club, and activities related to our Swim21 membership, which is essential to the success of the club.

A special mention needs to go out to two of our more mature swimmers - Bernie and Deborah, who did amazingly well.  You put the rest of us to shame.

With regards to the prizes the following have won with amazing sponsorship being raised.

Amelia Pearson - Girls Racing Suit
Zak Goodson - Boys Racing Suit
Charlotte Troup - Sportyswim voucher

There were several others who raised significant money for the club and your support, enthusiasm and commitment is greatly appreciated.  A big thank you also needs to be given to all those who helped support us in the runup to the event and on the night.  Without you all the event would not have been possible.
